Auxiliary to the APWU of Wisconsin State Convention Call

Credentials have been sent out to the delegates for the Auxiliary to the APWU of Wisconsin State Convention April 24, 2014 through Saturday, April 26, 2014 held in conjunction the APWU State Convention in Appleton, WI.  There will be nomination and elections of all officers of the Auxiliary, President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Legislative Director.  The minimum age of an officer in the Auxiliary shall be at least twenty-one (21) years.  If you did not receive your credentials, please contact the Secretary, Jacque Childs email at jchilds@uwcatholic.org.  Credentials are due back by April 15, 2014 to Secretary, Jacque Childs, 1937 Paso Roble Way, Madison WI 53716.

Now is the time to start preparing any resolutions that you wish to submit to the convention for consideration by the delegates in attendance and to be forwarded, if acted on, to the National APWU Auxiliary Convention.

The Auxiliary to the APWU of Wisconsin announces the theme for the State Convention is “Hunger Games” and hope to raise needed monies for COPA.  Be sure to join us.

2012 APWU of Wisconsin State Convention

Hi everyone,

Here is the info I have so far for the APWU of Wisconsin Convention. I will be asking some of you to be on committees which may influence the date you will arrive. Also, there will be an Executive Board meeting on the morning of the 26th. Please register for the convention and hotel as soon as possible to make planning easier. I will also mail this info to all locals.

2010 APWU of Wisconsin State Convention - Day 1 Pt.1

Wisconsin AFL-CIO President David Newby addressed the Delegates and guests gathered at the APWU of Wisconsin State Convention on Friday morning.

Newby presented a slide program outlining items such as how worker salaries have been dormant since the mid seventies, how the US worker compares with the rest of the World worker, US worker is the most productive worker, general labor information, jobs in America is priority number one, etc.

It should also be noted that Newby had pledged Labor’s support of the APWU in our quest to preserve the best postal service in the world for the American Citizens and businesses in our fight against the 5-day delivery threat and more.

The Convention was sponsored by the Appleton, WI. Local American Postal Workers Union.
